ADP Graduate Show
My biggest demonstration of web design skills so far is through the end of year showcase wesbite, which the University of Sydney puts on for their graduating students. In 2023 I was tasked with reskinning the previous website to suit the needs of the 2023 cohort.
The Design
The design was already created in Figma for me so all I had to do was copy it as closely as I could. We wanted to ensure that everybody in the graduating cohort had an equal opportunity to showcase their work online. The homepage lists all of the degrees, and clicking through will get to the unit of study, the brief and then the student.
The Code
I used my skills in HTML, CSS and JavaScript to redesign the website and upload the student work. While there were challenges and some of the previous designer’s techniques were new to me, such as Vue and React, I learned quickly and was able to succeed in reaching the goals of my client. As there was a large amount of student work to upload, I edited a python script for reading through and uploading the student work to the website.
